Kat Dennings was born on 13 June 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings who is Kat's maternal grandmother is a journalist and speech therapy. The father of Kat is Gerald. Gerald is a college prof in molecular biology. Dennings was one of the youngest children in the family of a Jewish home. Dennings was homeschooled, and then once did she attend a traditional school. This arrangement with homeschooling was the most suitable option for her because she had the ambition to become an actor as early as her stage. Dennings had the opportunity to complete high school by the time she reached fourteen. She had already begun performing in commercials by the age of 9. After completing high school the family relocated into Los Angeles to pursue acting. Kat Dennings was her name as she began auditioning.
