Lady Gaga, also known as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta started her career in the field of performance as a musical theatre and burlesque performer in the East Village in New York, seemingly attempting to follow in the footsteps of nightclub performers turned famous like Bette Midler and Madonna. After struggling for several years, she finally made it the big time in 2005, when she recorded her debut album and wrote songs for Fergie, Britney Spears and the Pussycat dolls.
